This was a sunset study I painted to experiment with different ways of capturing and creating the illusion of translucency as well as using the adjacent color and chroma to support it. This was done in the spring of 2026 at my local Tanglewood Park about a half mile from my house. I come here to work out ideas and experiment with a variety of subjects and lighting. This whole park is such a great workshop for me.
